Michigan State big man Jaren Jackson, Jr. (3J) became the highest picked Spartan in the NBA draft (#4 overall) since Earvin “MAGIC” Johnson in 1979 (#1 overall) and Greg Kelser (#4 overall) when the Memphis Grizzlies picked him tonight. He will be joining another former Spartan big man in Deyonta Davis with the Grizzlies.
Moments after he told ESPN, “There’s no words, there’s no words to describe it. It’s all the hard work that we put it in the gym that leads up to this moment.”
