While Ann Arbor (MI) Pioneer 2020 wide receiver Karamba Kaba doesn’t have an offer at the moment, the 5-foot-10, 176-pound standout is firmly on Michigan State’s radar and was on campus for #5 Michigan State’s spring game last week.
Spartan Nation caught up with Kaba at Spartan Stadium after the spring game and Kaba said that he had the opportunity to spend time with Michigan State receivers coach Terrence Samuel and Director of Recruiting and Player Development Sheldon White, who invited him up to the Elite Camp in East Lansing in June.
“I met coach Samuel again, I met coach White,” he said. “They were talking to me about me coming up to the Elite Camp before they can give me a scholarship to play with the team. But the camp that I’m attending is the Elite Camp, so I’m challenging myself because I’ll be playing with guys that have already been offered by the school. Everything is going well from my last visit and I’m just hoping to get that offer.”
Along with his interest from Michigan State, Kaba has heard from Purdue, Toledo, Western Michigan, Cincinnati and a handful of other Division 1 programs.
Although he doesn’t hold an offer from the Spartans as of now, Kaba admitted that a potential offer from Michigan State would mean a great deal to him.
“That would mean the whole world to me, honestly,” he said. “That would just be the best.”

But with plenty of time left before he needs to make a college decision, Kaba remains focused on improving his game on the football field and told Spartan Nation that he enjoys the game because of the lessons it has taught him on and off of the football field.
“It’s just fun and this game teaches you how to be a leader and it also helps you use that in life,” he said. “If you don’t make it to a professional league or something like that, you can use it in the real life world. It teaches you character, integrity and stuff like that.”
