Today Thomas entered the US District Court here in Detroit for a hearing, more specifically a Motion for Preliminary Injunction against the MHSAA to be reinstated immediately so he can play his senior year of basketball while his case moves forward.
The Honorable Judge Marianne O. Battani ruled against him. That does not mean that his case has been thrown out. It simply means that he can’t play while the case moves forward. Moments after the hearing, attorneys from both sides spoke outside the Federal Courthouse.
