Jalen Nailor is a 5’11”, 170-pound wide receiver and returner for national high school football powerhouse Bishop Gorman. He led all Bishop Gorman wide receivers this year in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns, logging in 41 receptions for 807 yards, including 12 touchdowns. Nailor was a one-time Arizona State commit, but #16 Michigan State kept contact with the three-star wide receiver throughout the duration of his commitment. Michigan State has pulled ahead of the pack in his recruitment, competing against the likes of Wisconsin, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and others for his services. Spartan Nation caught up with Nailor to update his recruitment as Signing Day draws near.

Ever since receiving an offer from the Michigan State Spartans, Nailor has held high regards for the school. “Since Michigan State offered me, they have been one of my top options in my recruitment,” he said.

For the last remaining month of his recruitment, Nailor’s plans are not clear, but he does have one visit scheduled. “This coming weekend, I will be taking my official visit to Michigan State,” said Nailor, “I’ve always wanted to visit Michigan State, and I’m excited that my schedule finally allows a visit.”

As his visit draws near, Nailor has a couple boxes he’d like to check off during his stay in East Lansing. “I really want to meet the coaching staff. I’ve kept in contact with Coach Samuel for a long time, but I want to meet Coach Dantonio in person. I’d also like to see the facilities. I’ve heard good things about the facilities from Jacob Isaia, my teammate who is committed there,” he explained.

Speaking of Jacob Isaia, he has done his part in recruiting the three-star receiver to join him at Michigan State. “Yeah, Jacob has been telling me how great Michigan State is and what they have to offer. He also told me to take my time and make the best decision for myself,” he added.

Jalen Nailor is rated a three-star composite recruit. He projects to play a similar role in a college football offense as former-Spartan RJ Shelton did for Michigan State. Stay tuned to Spartan Nation for the latest on Nailor’s recruitment.
