Josiah Price had 23 catches for 267 yards and six touchdowns last year. Even with those stats, his production was not what it should have been because of QB issues that would often pass up an open Price. Connor Cook had a strong tendency to lock on a primary wide receiver, often bypassing other options. This year Price’s numbers are expected to skyrocket.
Price has already been named to the Mackey Award watch list and today he has been named to the Wuerffel Award watch list. That award is presented annually to the player “That best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement,” per the award.
For Price, who is active in the community and off the field, the award is an incredible honor.
