Kostrzewa Takes Third At Florida Relays
Connor Kostrzewa led Michigan State with a third-place effort in the hammer on the opening day of the Pepsi Florida Relays
GAINESVILLE, Florida – Junior Connor Kostrzewa led Michigan State with a third-place effort in the hammer on the opening day of the Pepsi Florida Relays at the Percy Beard Track, located inside James G. Pressly Stadium, on Thursday, March 31.
Kostrzewa’s toss of 63.31 meters stood as the third-best of the day. The performance came on his sixth and final attempt of the evening. Sophomore Riley Norman rounded out the top 10 with a heave of 60.43m, which came on his second throw.
In the javelin, sophomore Max Knoblock took 11th with a mark of 60.49m. His day’s best came on the first throw of the day.
The bulk of the meet takes place over Friday and Saturday, as events start at 9:30 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. The weekend concludes on Saturday with the final heat of the 4×400-meter relay at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Day two and three of competition will be streamed by the SEC Network via WatchESPN, which can be accessed at the links above. Streaming is available from 12-4:30 p.m. on Friday and 2:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
