When Alan Anderson committed to Tom Izzo out of Minnesota it was a great get for the Spartans head man Tom Izzo. Not only is he a great basketball player, Anderson is also one of the finest people to wear the green and white.

He put up 1,195 points for the Spartan while doing nothing but making Michigan State proud while being here. He is often overlooked 11 years after leaving (Can you believe it has been 11 years?) East Lansing, but he is still playing and thriving in the NBA.

He recently led his Washington Wizards into his home state Minnesota on Wednesday and led the Wizards to a 104-98 win. Afterwards he said of his journey to Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press, “You just have to have confidence in yourself and work ethic, man.”

I highly recommend you take a second and read this great article by Greder about Anderson and his journey WHEN YOU CLICK RIGHT HERE.
