Hello everyone!  Welcome to the last regular version of the Prep Sports Report on SpartanNation!

It’s starting to look a little like spring outside.  That can only mean one thing!  Next week, we will FINALLY move into the District round of play.  It’s put up or shut up time for many, many schools.  Let’s take a look at the games from last week.

High Score of the Week/Century Club Part (lucky) 13

Whitmore Lake 103 Adrian Madison 77 (180 points)

Adrian Madison kept pace with Whitmore Lake in the first quarter and was fairly close at the half, trailing 50-42.  After Whitmore Lake came out for the second half, they put the defensive clamps on and had a solid second half.  Coach Dave Arnold said it was the best defense his team has played since they went to the Grinnel College system (tossing up a boatload of three point shots).  Colton Judge led the way with 22 points.  Austin Cattley, Jake Kerrigan, and Alex Cattley all scored 11.  On the Adrian Madison side, Jamison Webster led the way with 34 points.  (Just a FYI I talked about last week, Whitmore Lake lost to Clinton 92-83 in a game which decided the Tri County Conference championship).

Low Score of the Week

Northport 36 Traverse City Christian 32 (68 points)

In Cherryland Conference action, Northport beat Traverse City Christian.  Jason Tropf scored 19 points in the win.  Alan Holt poured in 10 of his own.  On the Traverse City Christian side, Jason Send had 10 points for the Sabres.

Coach Cottrell’s Blowout of the Week

Covert 86 Three Oaks River Valley 22 (64 points)

This must have been a blowout from the beginning.  I couldn’t find any information about it.
