Michigan State – Purdue Postgame Notes

Senior Victoria Lucas-Perry became the 13th player in school history to score 400 points in a season when she hit a 3-pointer with 18:19 left in the first half … The milestone has been reached 23 times … Lucas-Perry finished with 20 points in the game and has 418 in the season.

Lucas-Perry led the Spartans with 11 points in the first half, the eighth time this season she scored more than 10 points in the first 20 minutes.

Lucas-Perry scored a Big Ten Tournament career-high 20 points … Her previous high in nine games was 14 against Illinois in the quarterfinals of the 2005 tournament … It was the eighth time this season the 5-9 guard scored 20 or more points in a game.

Freshman Allyssa DeHaan set the school’s freshman scoring record with her 387th point of the season on a layup with 19:40 left in the second half for her 11th point of the game … She passed the mark set by Lindsay Bowen in 2002-03 when she scored 386 and was named Co-Freshman of the Year along with teammate Liz Shimek … DeHaan finished the game with 16 points.

Freshman Allyssa DeHaan tied the Big Ten record for blocked shots in a season with her 136th of her rookie campaign, firing back a shot from Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton with 15:33 left in the first half … She broke the mark set by Michigan’s Trish Andrew set in 1991-92 with another block of a Wisdom-Hylton shot with 11:11 left in the second half … She finished the game with three rejections.

Sophomore Aisha Jefferson came up with three steals in the game, all in the first half … The 6-0 forward has at least three thefts in three of her four career Big Ten Tournament games.
