DETROIT – Tigers Vice President of Marketing and Ticket Sales, Bob Raymond reported on Saturday afternoon at 2:15 p.m., only four hours and 15 minutes into the start of individual game sales for 2007, a total of 60,473 tickets had been sold. 


Raymond added that both the Saturday, June 9 game against the New York Mets and the Saturday, August 25 game against the New York Yankees were already selling standing room only tickets. 


In 2006, individual game sales for the entire first day, which included Opening Day, totaled only 29,000. 


Individual sales for Opening Day in 2007 will be conducted by a random on-line ticket drawing due to overwhelming demand. To register, fans must fill out a registration form online at or over telephone by calling (313) 471-2255. Fans can register until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 11.
